Christmas Card Sharing Challenge

Michelle from BBTB2 challenged us to share our Christmas cards...And I have been working overtime on Christmas cards. I am making a ton of Christmas cards. I used my cricut on all of them and will list the cartridge under the photo.

Sketch #30 with AHSC

I am quickly becoming addicted...addicted to card sketches! Here's another one that I just tried out: Sketch #30 with AHSC.

I used the Teresa Collins' Sophisticated cricut cartridge and Recollection Rustic Luxe. Love this patterned paper stack, such great foils and damask patterns!

Freshly Made Sketches #113 Challenge

Here is my try at a card sketch...Freshly Made Sketches posted Challenge #113 today, and it was just what my waning mojo needed! I asked a friend where does she get her card inspiration, and she pointed me to FMS -- so glad that I found them!

I love the clean lines of this sketch, and it is my first time playing with FMS, so I hope that my take on the sketch is fresh and clean too.

Supplies:
  • FMS Challenge #113
  • Recollections Rustic Luxe
  • American Crafts Cardstock: Christmas
  • Cricut carts: Opposites Attract "many thanks"; Serenade branch and bird

Turkey Time

Melanie from BBTB2 this week challenged us to make a project with a turkey. And that was a challenge for me, as I searched through my cricut carts and started to sweat. Carts that I assumed had turkeys on, didn't...But I went to one of my old-school carts, Speaking of Fall, that I picked up on clearance a while back. So relieved to find a turkey tri-fold card on the letter D!

Dreaming of a White-on-White Christmas

Julie at BBTB2 challenged us to create a White-on-White project for this week's Design Team project, and I love being able to layer glittery snowflakes. A great time to create a stash of snowflakes and other cuts that I know that I will love to use in multiples. I found this snowflake and ornament on the Christmas/Noel, one of the retired carts that I am happy to own.

In order to make my cuts pop against the white background, I used my Tim Holtz musical embossing folder, and highlighted the notes in gold shimmer ink and gold stickles, and outlined the edges of my ornament with more ink and stickles. Strung the ornament with pearls, and added pop dots for more dimension. The gold "Believe" diecut is from an old kit, not sure what brand though.

One for the Boys

Susan's BBTB2 challenge for us is to make a man project -- and in the middle of football season, I am surrounded by men, big and little, who love watching sci fi marathons, gaming, and just riding bikes in the street. So for the BBTB2 Man-Made Monday - Football Challenge,  I knew that I had to take some creative license and highlight our first ever family camp out with Cub Scouts. After all, we did it "for the boys!"

I used Camp Out cartridge for the diecut images and Old West's wood font, and a few mini brads. I love the texture of the ColorCore coredinations Burnt Sugar -- was tempted to ink the paper to make the cricut cuts pop, but didn't want to cover up the cardstock colors...
