Altered To-do Lists from Small Memo Pads

For my altered to-do lists, I used small, recycled paper, memo pads and had then cut lengthwise at Staples - who charges a bit to cut. I googled how tos and couldn't come up with any specs that would help, so I eyeballed it and wrote my measurements on my template. So I cut retired patterned paper from Stampin' Up! 5.25 x 8. I scored at 2.50 and 2.75:

I do think that I should give a bit more of wiggle space - as a few coves came up a little bit short, but most folded over nicely, meeting from end to end:

I do think that the flip side of the covers look nice - compliments the covers.

I used the retired Apple of My Eye stamp set, a circle punch and one layered circle framelits. And closed the to-do list book with twine.

Altered Mini Composition Books

These mini composition books were a bit challenging to make. I used tear tape (which is fast, permanent glue strips) to glue the Stampin' Up! Retired Neutrals DSP to the covers - and carefully trimmed the excess paper off...My embellishments are a pretty Beautiful You stamp set sentiment, I added a retired flower die and popped on an adhesive pearl.

Gerbera Daisies in a Jar

For my next class, we are making gerbera daisies, and I put mine in a milk jar. These are easy to create with Stampin' Up!s Daisy Delight Photopolymer bundle. I stamped and punched out the flowers, attached them to florist wire with hot glue and added artificial greenery to bulk out the the flower bouquet. I also cut them down with wire cutters - so they were the right height for my jar. My class will bring their own jars with a small neck, or pre order some with me, and their own hot glue guns and glue.

Summertime Challenge

I am hosting this week's Bitten by the Bug 2 Summertime challenge: Stars, Fireflies, Bonfires, and things like that. Above is my two page layout and below a few of my favorite cuts: The chair is from Life is a Beach, then fire pit is Dude! and a square shape, By the Fire is Outdoor Man, and Summer Nights is made with one of my computer fonts and the fire on the right side is from Outdoor Man too.

Watermelon Wood Crate

What fun is this wood crate from Stampin' Up! I made a bunch of these - in different wood colors from a DSP 6x6 pack - for a vending event that I am doing this weekend. It was easy to make - just run the die twice through the big shot (so you need 2 sheets of 6x6, but there's lots of paper left over for more projects like cards and tags). I added cellophane bags filled with sugared watermelons and tied with twine - how cute!

Here's what I used (all photos copyright Stamping' Up!):

Wood Words Clear-Mout Bundle die and stamp "For You"

Wood Textures DSP

Whisper White Craft ink and pad
3x6 Gusseted Cellophane Bags

Seaside Seagull Missing You Card

This week's Bitten by the Bug2 challenge is to use a bird on your cricut cut project. For my card, I used Life is a Beach (anchor border and seagulls); Pack Your Bags (seagull); The First Few Years (cloud label); Phrases (miss you). I used a Watercolor stamp background for the sunset sky in on of the new In-Color Powder Pink ink. Hope that you like it and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Get Well Card Set

Well, I didn't have a masculine Stampin' Up! Get Well sentiment, and I needed one for an order ASAP. With Cricut Design Space, so many options -- but I chose two phrases that I already purchased. The one on the left is from Paper Lace (surprise!) and the right Phrases. I wish that I could say that I wiped this up quick -- but I did have a few failed attempts with the wrong colors. I am happy with this though.

Coffee & Cards Birthday Card Class

Here's some photos from my first Coffee & Cards class. I decided to do some morning classes because for some, mornings are easier than Friday nights. We made four cards using the stamp set Big on Birthdays, which is a great investment stamp set because it is so versatile.

The ladies, two who we're novice stampers and card makers, gained confined in one class and put their spin on many of the cards. This one showcases how they individualized one of the card designs. I love how they came out!

Hello Summer Card

It's time to say Hello to Summer! Here is a summer card for this week's Bitten By the Bug2 blog challenge. I used a combination of cricut cuts - and of course - stickles. Hello Summer comes from The First Few Years; umbrella, bucket, waves and Adirondack chair from Life's a Beach.

What Love most about this card - aside from the stickles - is the blue sand bucket with the pile of sand in front of it. love the 3d effect.

Happy Birthday on Delightful Daisies

This is my final card for this Friday's card night and Wednesday coffee and cards. I love this patterned paper most from the Delightful Daisy DSP. And adding Big On Birthdays stamp set's Happy Birthday onto a layered banner punch makes it pop. Just a pretty card that I hope my attendees will like!

Wisteria Wonder Happy Birthday

This was a fun card to make. I used the Big On Birthdays stamp set - and watercolor pencils to fill in the flowers and leaves. I used a blue and purple one, which goes with the inked background. I inked resist paper with Wisteria Wonder, using a sponge dauber and then matted it onto black card stock - I think the border is a nice weight against the stamped image.
