Just Some Simple Bday Cards

Here's some birthday cards that I have made using the brights cardstock and inks from Stampin' Up! I have made these and few other items for a friend who is creating a birthday-themed display table for a Stampin' Up! event, and needed to use just SU products. And I noticed that I need to invest in some Stampin' Up! embellies! So this is a Plain Jane set of cards.

I do like being able to use the same stamp set (Big News) and Framelits Labels Collection dies in different ways. I used up some scraps for the banner below, using my banner punch and the Ovals Collection of dies. I also used a yellow, old leftover frame from a diecut and popped it up with some three-dimensional foam: Stampin' Dimensionals.

These were made from the Thinlits flip card dies. I used some embossing folders on the sturdy cardstock, and love how they came out. I am really itching to add some embellishments, but am going to go with less-is-more for now. I used the Circle Card Thinlits Die and Honeycomb Embossing folder on the blue card. The red card was made with the Label Card Thinlits Die, Perfect Polka dots Embossing folder. and Petite Pairs Stamp Set.

Join the Paper Pumpkin Party

Well, I finally hosted my Paper Pumpkin Party! My first one was canceled when we had boiler issues, but it was fun to get together and do some crafting with friends. We made pinwheels from a Paper Pumpkin summer kit and put together a Simply Sent card kit.

And my cat wanted to scrap too:

If you are interested in a trial subscription, they are available here...And they are a great gift to give -- and to receive.

Terrific Tuesday!

Well, I went to work today, and wondered why all of the main doors were locked. My children have school on Veteran's Day, and the office is off! I need to get organized, I guess. But I am more creative than organized, so now I have some kid-free time to keep up on some Stampin' Up! fun.

And love how Tuesdays are no longer boring -- Stampin' Up! has released a new Banner Blessings Photopolymer Stamp Set

These stamps are so versatile -- aside from a ton of handmade cards - they would work on scrapbook layouts too. And the Tuesday Weekly Deals are truly tempting me -- may have to place an order for mama's own Christmas stocking!

Here is my project for the week:
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder for the fleur-de-lis and my cricut cart, All Mixed Up, circle option, added some Bazzil ribbon and mounted on Bazzil cardstock. Yes, I did A through Z for an upcoming craft fair. Wish me luck selling!
