Marie ATC

So I just bought some art from youratcstore.com, and I received a surprise ATC kit. Blew me over. So much so that I think that I need to enroll in auto delivery. Here it is:

Now that was a fun project that I was able to do in minutes -- while the boys and their friend enjoyed the last day before school.

Saying a Latte with Spectrum Noir

Here is another swap card for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Facebook group. I received a really cool card in the mail and my swap partner is getting this one. Now, if I only could find her address! Glad that it is in my yahoo account ;)

The stamp set is from www.ellenhutson.com and is a Penny Black Cling Stamp "Saying a Latte" -- I love this stamp! My husband says that she looks like me, but reality says, aside from the messy hair and coffee, no where near that. Heck, I don't even have highlights! Or that stomach :)

And I had some coloring fun with Spectrum Noir alcohol inks. I have a few Copics, mostly for the skin tones, but how they compare is interesting. I'd say for the price the Spectrum Noir are good enough for coloring in stamps. The barrel is a different shape -- more octagon -- where the Copics are oval flat and smoother with tips are like bushes. The Spectrum ones are just regular old tips that color great. So unless you are drawing anime are a professional artist, they work well. So well, that I ordered another six-pack.

Tootsie Roll Pillow Box Treats

Here are my Tootsie Roll Pillow Box treats. I used the Stamping' Up! Square Pillow Box Thinlits die and orange card stock. I love how firm the card stock is -- it makes the packaging sturdy and secures the candy. I was able to fit eight pieces of candy in each package. I did use some glue dots on the bottom of the packaging, just in case. The owls and sunflowers are cricut-cut.

It's Time for Some Spooky Fun!

It's time for some spooky fun! After getting the Spooky Fun stamp set and the Halloween Scene Edgelits Dies bundle pre-order, I had to dive in and create four cards for my October card class -- I have never been so ahead of schedule!

I did different type cards (Halloween silhouettes, Autumn pumpkins, spooky witch and a cute trick or treat) in varying level of effort, with some quick and simple ones for my less experienced card makers. My favorite one is the Halloween silhouette, love the contrast against the new DSP paper. The new papers are "Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Papers" -- and I love them all. In fact, I may need to buy another set for myself -- and more embellishments to add to these cards.

Patriotic M&Ms treat sticks

I have been working on some Patriotic M&M treat sticks. I honestly don't know what to call them, so I am going with "sticks." I use the Stamping Up! 1x8 cellophane packaging and topped it off with a scalloped punch on white card stock -- and cut some cricut pinwheels and flags. I added stickles because everyone should use stickles ;)

Altered Post Its

Here's some of my Altered Post Its for an upcoming craft fair. I used Stamping' Up! Subtles' Card Stock because it is a sturdy paper that provides a clear score and can hold a mini pen. Instructions are all over the internet, and this one is pretty good (love that she lists the specs).

I also used retired SU DSP (patterned paper) as a base for my butterfly die cuts. I love how the card stock and patterned paper matched seamlessly. I layered the Bold Butterfly Framelit Die with the Butterfly Thinlits Die. They play nice together, fitting each other perfectly.

I added the Watercolor Wings stamped sentiment "Just for you" and the dots for the topper and packaged them up in 4x6 cellophane bags.

And here is another more fall-like one:

I used the Vintage Leaves stamp set and embossed the images with gold. I also borrowed the three leaves die cuts from the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Die.
