A Happier Birthday

For this card, I used the Party Animal Suite patterned paper and Balloon Adventures stamp set. I mounted the card onto Crushed Curry card stock, and I really like how the blue pops against the yellow, reminding me of Mexican tiles, Talavera. A very easy card that my class card makers will appreciate.

Party Animal Birthday Card

Thank you for following Janet's Lakeland's RemARKable Blog Hop, and thanks for coming here from Katarina Ewa's blog post. The theme is anything form the 207 Spring Catalog.

Using the Occassion's catalog Party Animals Suite, I have a fully coordinated birthday card. I love when all of my supplies are easy to mix and match. I used a sentiment from the Balloon Adventures stamp set -- and it was fun to use the Stitched Framelits to make it pop. Party Animal Designer Series Paper and the matching card stock pack made for an easy, breezy card, ready for my card making class.

Next on the blog hop is Darla Olson.

Another Year Full of Adventures

I absolutely love the Occassion's catalog Party Animals Suite -- all of my supplies are easy to mix and match. I used a sentiment from the Balloon Adventures stamp set, Party Animal Designer Series Paper, and the matching cardstock pack. The balloons were also a fun part of the card, and I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to cut the stamped balloons.

Floating Balloon Birthday Card

I love how whimsical this stamp set, Ballon Adventures, is. Matted onto layers of Party Animals Designer Series paper polka dots and matching card stock, this is a fun, simple-to-make card.

To My Valentine

As part of another challenge, to create anything Valentine- or Love-related, I dug out last year's Blooming' Love stamp set, which is still in this year's Annual Stamping' Up! catalog. I cut the stamped image with Layering Squares Framelits. I then added some bright Pop of Pink DSP layers, and this simple card is finished and ready for my husband, of course!

Watercolor Happy Birthday

I have been working on watercolor challenges in a Stamping' Up! Facebook group -- and I am new to adult watercoloring (this isn't your elementary school watercoloring palette). I used watercolor brushes, Aqua Painters, for the first time. I simply squeezed my inks pads to leave residual ink inside the cover and dipped my watercolor brush into it. I experimented with using concentrated colors and washed out colors of Rose Red and Garden Green. The embossed Rose Wonder stamped image's raised lines help keep the colors separate. Also, I used Shimmer White paper, which holds the water very well, as it doesn't seep through and alter the paper itself.

I used the same Watercolor Wash stamped background in Sky Blue ink as a previous card because I have samples left over. I like the washed out blue next to the deeper colors in the flower image. I then added some matching washi tape and glued a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set on it. Thanks for stopping by to read my post!

Watercolor Kisses

Watercolor kisses

My first time trying the kiss stamp technique...No kissing required! I used the Watercolor Wash background stamp in Blue Sky ink and Watercolor Wings in Blushing Bride. I inked up the line of dots stamp and pressed rows into the butterfly stamp, which was lightly inked with Blushing Bride pink. The pink card stock is also Blushing Bride and the neutral, Crumbcake. The sentiment, from Watercolor Wings, was inked and die cut with Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

Here is the how-to that I followed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKQlyHANCQs

Pink Pirouette Valentine's Day Card

Getting back into card making - and starting with Valentine's Day. I went with a very soft pink: Pink Pirouette card stock and ink.

I used the Sunshine Sayings Clear-Mount Bundle stamp set and diecut set. And some twine from the Tin of Tags kit. What a versatile set, it is going to be my go-to bundle :)
