Baby Challenge for BBTB2

Perfect time for a Baby Challenge from BBTB2 -- one of my youngest cousins just had a baby boy with his wife. I remember when he was a baby and watched him grow up! So happy for him and his wife -- and since she is French, the card says "Bebe" -- I hope that they like it!

I used "Baby Steps" cricut cartridge and cut off the image's laundry line poles (with stars) -- I wanted a clean look to the card, and like stringing the clothesline like a banner.

Get Well Card Challenge

Emily is hosting this week's BBTB2 challenge -- in the middle of cold and flu season: Get Well Cards! He is my corny card, from Just Because Cards cartridge...It makes sense to have silly cards to cheer someone up, right?

Freshly Made Sketches #119

Here is my try at Freshly Made Sketches #119, and I loved how Narelle Farrugia double matted each layer of her card, so I wanted to try it. It was a lot of measuring, but I love the clean lines!

The Big 5-0!

For Caroline's BBT2 challenge -- create a birthday card with a number -- here's a special birthday card with a number: the Big 5-0! I used my Cuttle Bug embossing folder in the Spellbinder's machine -- not bad! Add some binged carstock and stickles...and I think it makes a great milestone! I also used the cricut Wall Decor and More -- yes, you can do much more that just decor with it. Love how it makes the 50 extra special!

Scrap Your Hobbies Challenge from BBTB2

Brenda from BBTB2 challenged us to "Scrap Your Hobbies" this week, a timely challenge because January is National Hobby month. It's an open challenge to use your cricut to celebrate what you love to do -- from papercrafts to gardening, or whatever makes you happy and allows you to relax and enjoy.

I don't go anywhere without a camera because when I do -- I miss something great. Like the time my youngest son and I went outside for some fresh spring air, and a yellow plane began doing air tricks above us. I ran in the house to get the older son outside to see, and then remembered the camera -- too late, the yellow plane became a dot in the sky. Another time, my oldest and I went exploring through a nearby meadow, and a great big hot air balloon was floating by. No camera.

Since learning my lesson, I always carry a small inexpensive point and shoot...And after a hike during a summer vacation (notice a pattern here? Don't stay inside), my friend and our boys saw a breathtaking sunset on the LI Island Sound. I damaged my photo lens getting these pics (so worth it) and didn't even look through the lens while taking these pics. Since then, I began using my phone camera, so that forces me to remember my phone and keep it charged.
