Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Create a sports inspired project

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Here is my project:

Materials Used:

  • "Yankees" diecut by Petticoat Parlor
  • Baseball diecuts from Cricut Baseball Solutions cartridge
  • Photomat from Sports Mania
  • American Crafts white and blue cardstock
  • Pettaloo Burlap ribbon

BBTB2 Bee

Susan from BBTB2 is challenging us to use a bee from any cartridge to create a project. What a fun summertime challenge! What if you don't have a bee cut? Try to use a basic shape cart and do some paper piecing.

Here is what I put together. I used my Just Because Cards cricut cartridge for the bee and the sentiment. I love cutting transparency paper for the wings. It is a subtle detail that the light catches.

BBTB2 Owl

Do you love owls as much as I do? Then you will be happy that this week's challenge, by sweet Maureen from BBTB2, is to use an owl die cut on a project. Provocraft has a ton of owl images and can't wait to see what you create! For this project, I used Just Because cart. I didn't follow the cricut card design because I liked having the half asleep owl perched in his tree home. I had fun embossing the tree with a Stamping Up embossing plate.

Here is my project for this week:

I made this card for my son's teacher to give at the End-of-Year party. She is one of the great ones -- always advocating for him in PPTs, pushing him to reach high academic expectations while cutting him some slack when needed.

For this card, I used:

  • Cricut carts: H20 for the fancy girl embellished with Gellyroll pen in clear; "Happy Summer" from Summer Celebrations.
  • American Crafts shoreline patterned paper and rosette flower embellishment.
  • Photo patterned paper is from a paper pack that I picked up a few years ago while vacationing in Cape Cod. Yes, I shop on vacation. Couldn't help myself after taking the boys to candy shoppe -- was surrounded by major box craft stores -- that is my candy!

Materials Used:

BBTB2 Dog Days of Summer

We are in the dog days of summer -- but you won't hear me complain! Especially after that tough winter we had a few months ago. Sharon from BBTB2 is challenging us to use a cricut cut dog on a project

Now as I don't have a dog, I did make a card for someone who did! I used my Stampin Up Thinlet flip card die and Summer in Paris cricut card. Here is the inside, which I kinda like more that the front cover!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

BBTB2 Travel - Location or Transportation

Have you seen Pam's fabulous cards? I love her work! And she is challenging us at BBTB2 to a Travel Location or Transportation project. So I have been using pocket pages, and had yet to make them look like a part of my scrapbook instead of looking like a fancy photo album with odd sized pockets. So this challenge was the perfect opportunity to blend in the pocket pages with my single and double page layouts. Using Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer line, I got cutting.

Pack Your Bags and Destinations (did you know that they have some of the US states? not just international destinations?) fit these pics great -- from documenting our dreary-looking road trip (that was very lively in our car!) and adding a punch of color, I rounded up our first 24 hrs on one page.
